Consultancy

At Solar Partnerships, we provide specialist consultancy services to support the development of solar and energy projects at every scale — from small private schemes to large, grid-connected infrastructure.

Solar Farm Development

We can assist with the full development of solar farm projects, drawing on extensive experience across all stages of delivery.

Our consultancy covers:

  • DNO (Distribution Network Operator) applications

  • Planning applications

  • Ecology assessments

  • Engineering design

  • Legal processes

  • Financial assessment and project costing

We have supported projects ranging from a few hundred kW up to 30MW, including schemes currently being guided through to completion.

Off-Grid & Large-Scale Projects

We also have expertise in the design of large-scale, off-grid or grid-supported energy systems.

This includes complex projects where grid constraints limit available power.

For example, we recently designed a PV and battery-supported semi off-grid energy system for a large-scale “Super-Dairy” in the North of England, where grid capacity was insufficient to meet demand.

For smaller-scale developments, we provide the same level of detailed support—helping landowners and businesses unlock the value of their sites.

We are also able to move beyond consultancy and undertake the construction of solar farms up to 5MW, as well as collaborate with larger contractors for bigger schemes.

Small Solar Farm Development (1–5MW)

Our consultancy is built on real-world delivery experience.

We don’t just advise — we understand the full lifecycle of a project, ensuring that every recommendation is practical, achievable, and aligned with your goals.

What our customers say

What a great team.

My partner and I are extremely happy with the service and professionalism we received from Corin and Dai at Rees Hughes Solar Partnerships. In fact, every member of their wider team conducted themselves with knowledgeable enthusiasm — it was clear they all genuinely love the work they do.

At no point did anybody try to upsell unnecessary extras or rush through the job to get to the next one. Instead, it was clear, crisp, engineering-led technical design that took into account what we wanted - ours was not a straightforward project due to the wider works programme, but they took everything in their stride. Great work, delivered by passionate, knowledgeable people.

If you want a company that focuses on high-quality installations tailored to your home’s needs, rather than marketing nonsense coupled with the “pile it high, sell it cheap” mentality seen in much of the solar industry, then this company is for you.

Attention to detail was evident and it was clear

RHSP Ltd. have installed several solar systems via Egni Coop for Pembrokeshire County Council,  exceeding 500kW in capacity.  Working in schools and leisure centres requires a contractor that puts safety first, is dependable and trustworthy, understands the products and the need to stick to deadlines.  RHSP delivered on all these at all sites.

Always courteous and polite, it was reassuring that competent personnel were working on the roofs. Attention to detail was evident and it was clear that they care about the quality of their work and that the expectations of the client are met.

I’ve found working with all the staff easy, I know they will do the right thing and the results to date have been exemplar.
