This system is installed at a Dressage Centre in Gloucestershire and is linked to the centre, to help reduce daily running costs for the business, as well as supplying power to the newly refurbished house of the owner, which is heated by a heat pump. The design of the system presented a challenge as there is only single phase power at the site but the owner was keen to maximise the size of the PV array. After some discussion, it was agreed with the DNO that the transformer would be upgraded and there would be a 19kVA export limit at the site. This, coupled with a 12kWh battery provided a neat solution. The work was carried out with a level of care and consideration as we were working above a stable which housed valuable dressage horses. The work was completed within one week to everyone’s satisfaction. The system has helped to significantly reduce the running costs of the business and the house.
